        I thought that Sanguinous killed a demon (specifically, a
bloodthirster) at the gate, breaking its back over his knee, rather
than having been killed by one.

        A good example of rewritten history is the Imperial Fists'
part in attacking Horus' battle barge. These days GW generally only
bothers to mention Sangy & his Blood Angels, even though Rogal Dorn
was the one who is supposed to have built the golden throne.

defending Earth. The rewrite that got me was about the Dark Angels.
Originally it was a combined Dark Angel, Space Wolf fleet coming to
Earth that forced Horus into the quick move. A little rewrite later there
is no mention of the DA's anywhere because of their little oopsy with
Chaos.
