How about this one, from part of an as yet unfinished report:
My pet Warlock Titan ended facing an Imperator at close range. Not only
does he manage to survive all the barrage weapons, admittedly he had Dodge,
but all the other weapons fire was saved by the holofields. The only thing
that hit was the big defense laser and my heart was pounding because it was
a direct hit to the head...but I made the 5+. Then my troops bring down
the Imp's shields and a Tempest takes a shot at the Hellstorm. My only
intention was to take out the weapon but it penetrates, explodes it, and
the explosion damages the reactor link. I roll max damage on the reactor
link and max damage on the reactor so the Imp explodes..and engulfs my
Warlock Titan.
I thought it was a goner for sure, but I made the saves with a -1 mod
for every location except the arms. The end result, both arms were blown
away but the Titan was still standing and my opponent conceded the field.
He couldn't believe it. I was ecstatic though I had hoped the Titan would
take down the Imperator.
Incidentally that Titan is still alive and well with something like 72
or 75 exp. under the old TL system. It now has the Dodge, Hipshooting,
Damage Limitation, and Evade battle honors. Only now I get more and more
paranoid about fielding it. Warlock Titan Ceascurathorioss (Mighty
Walker of the Void), captain Menaith, commonly attached to the Legion of
Celestial Might, Alaitoc Craftworld.
