This is pretty cool. Something different, something unique Squat-ish. I
like it. It would make for one hell of an interesting modelling
project. Just one suggestion:

I'd actually change this to a Melta-type weapon (such as a Melta Cannon or
a new weapon called a HellCannon perhaps, to fit with the HellWorm
theme). Acid weapons fit better with a Tyranid army than with the
Squats. The HellCannon/Melta Cannon would fit really well with the theme
as the Squats use plenty of Melta-type weapons (look at the Trikes and the
Cyclops) and the fluff can say that it uses this weapon to melt the rock
ahead of the drill head to make tunnelling easier.

Otherwise, this is a pretty cool idea!
