Hi!
I saw this on the usenet too. Lately the US has faced a steady stream of
anti-american sentiment, more so than usual. This may be due to the fact
that the US is now unquestionably the most powerful nation on earth, but
also, perhaps, to arrogance on its part through its policy makers.
Regardless we must remember the great works it has made as the article
below states.
I dont know what the US will do in retaliation, but in no doubt it needs
to be forceful and perhaps extreme. The rules have changed and I fear
the "hawks" will beat their chest and say "we told you so" and
unfortunately for those who committed this act and the country that
harbors them, american public opinion overwhlmingly supports retibution.
I once thought that the most momentous thing I would see in my lifetime
was the fall of the Berlin Wall and the fall of communism, I guess I was
dead wrong......
