I did a computerised version of EOTS once, it is almost complete but I ran
out of time with work commitments.
The plan was to finish it off and then work on EPIC and BFG modules so that
players could view the results of there invasions rather than just be
emailed a result from a generic formula.
The graphics are not the best but then my skills with graphics are hardly
noteworthy :). It uses a tile based BMP format though, so players could add
any graphics they wished.
I got movement, expansion, construction and upgrading finished, as well as
the multiplayer aspects. But never got round to adding fleet construction
(time consuming, as requires a new GUI) and combat (dead simple).

Doesn't matter, as long as the binary does what is expected of it :P.
