So the Veteran Company may be fielded either a Terminators or as Veteran
Assault Marines? I can agree with that.

Ok.

>3) Psychic power "Quickening" in place of Mind Blast (one infantry/bike
stand within 50cm and LOS gets it CAF doubled; max of +10). Note that it
really is a single stand, not a detachment. Works on 2+ or 3+ (will be
polled).

When did these come about? Not that I'm opposed, but there's othing in the
origional fluff about the quickening.

>5) Sanquinary High Priest. Blood Angels Infantry, Cavalry and Walker units
within 10cm of a Sanguinary High Priest may re-roll once per close combat
resolution their close combat dices (the second roll is final). A special
card and, IMO, unique one. The master of apothecarion of the BA.
>
No. Flat out - no - that's *way* too powerful. If you want to increase CAF
within a radius, ok. If you want to allow *one* model a *single* re-roll in
*a* Close Combat, ok. If you want to make this guy a special character and
put him in the optional rules I can live with that, but not in the regular
army list.

>SPECIAL RULES:
>After orders have been placed, roll for each detachment not on charge
orders. On a 1 the detachment's orders are changed to Charge and it must
move at least 10cm towards the enemy.

I thought this got replaced by the formation of the death company. The
Blood Rage appears before the battle and all marines who succumb are placed
i nthe Death Company. I *know* what GW fluff states, but I'd really rather
not have yet another roll for every infantry detachment, every turn.

>Then there's the death company. There have been a couple of suggestions,
and I will poll about these. If I have forgotten any feel free to correct
me. Note that I have dropped my original suggestion and invented a new one.

>Suggestion 1) BA must purchase the death company if the force is larger
than 3 companies.

>Suggestion 2) The death company stands, with the exception of the
Chaplain, must be picked from the other infantry/cavalry units in the army.
They are replaced by a death company stands and fight in the death company.
They lose their special equipment. The cost of this death company would be
something like 100 pts, which include the chaplain and the CAF & morale
update. The disadvantage is that some detachments will be closer to break
point.
>
You're Blood Angels - you *should* have a Death Company. That's one of the
things that makes you unique. It's an unbreakable, fearless group of
berzerkers that you don't lose VP's for - revel in it!

You don't lose VP's for the Death Company because they're already counted
as casualties in the detachments they came from.

>As a general restriction I would suggest that BA can't purchase chaplains
without the Death Company; they're supposed to use all their time to tend
their unfortunate brethren.
>
Hm - the Death Company is led by a specialized Chaplin who doesn't have the
normal Chaplain abilities, but I don't think that *all* Chaplains would be
taken up by the Death Company.

IMHO, the Death Company is it's own advantage and disadvantage - your
normal infantry is closer to their break points, but you gain an
unbreakable, fearless detachment.
