For those who do not wish to sell their soul to GW (And who can blame
you??) here is an abridged version of the article:

Thanks for the email. I've done a quick read-through of the posts on
the forum. Unfortunately I can't really join in with the debate, other
than in this reply, as otherwise I'll spend all day posting to the
forum rather than writing the rules that cause the discussion on the
forum in the first place! However, please feel free to post this reply
on to the forum.

First, and probably most important of all, I can tell from the
discussions going on that most people are commentating without
actually having played with the new rules. I *highly* recommend going
along to the Epic website (www.epic40000.com), down-loading the free
playable demo of the Epic Armageddon rules, and then playing through
all of the training scenarios at least once each. Many of the issues
and worries raised will be put to rest simply by playing a few gaames.
The rules also appear in Epic Magazine 10, which will be out very soon
in the UK.

The playable demo will give you a taste for the basic game mechanics.
In a few weeks time we'll be putting more material up on the website,
which will give players a chance to see what we plan to do with the
army lists in greater detail. For example, in the full rules Space
Marines have a special rule that means that it requires two Blast
Markers to supress them, and two BM per unit to break the formation.
The army lists will also give you a better feel for the size of
formations in the game, and why you shouldn't worry too much about
formations being broken by fire without taking any casualties (i.e. by
opponents 'stacking up 'free' BM on a formation). All I ask is that
you remain patient while we get the army lists into a format where
players can use them witout me standing next to them explaining what
the hell is going on!

As you can see it looks like they already have a direction in mind and
are aiming it at the current fanbase... What a pity...
