IMHO the chaos champion is indipendent for the order because
otherwise is usefull to be HQ only for targetting rule(doesn't exists
the single card "champion of chaos"). But I think that the
ChaosChampion must maintain coerency, cause on the card (except the
Chaos Space Marine Legions) there is a + (like Terminator and their
Land Raider).

good question :), cause the paragraph (from the 4.1 Chaos Codex):
"...If a Primarch is selected it may add a Chaos Space Marine Legion
in addition to its possible allotment of 3-5 Support Card and a
Special Card..."
is not clear :P
