I've a double proposal for Daemonic units taken in a CSM army
(summoning) and for daemons in general (instability test)...

Summoning dmons
All dmons are considered bearing the Mark of their Chaos god, but
they do not receive any additional special ability. See the Codex
Dmonic Hordes for a more detailed description of the Greater Dmons
special abilities. Dmons are attracted to a battle through unholy
prayers and the miasma of desolation and war. All dmons in Chaos
Space Marines armies need to be summoned to the battlefield:
‚ Lesser dmons - To summon lesser dmon detachments, roll 1d6 for
each of them in your army at the start of the Orders phase: if you
obtain the result needed on the Dmon Summoning table, that
particular detachment is successfully summoned. To determine the
exact point of arrival, place the Chaos Spawn template (the special
8cm template) in contact with a model bearing the Mark of the
summoned dmon unit or the Mark of Chaos Undivided and roll a Scatter
die: if you roll a Hit the template does not deviate, otherwise the
template scatters 1d6cm in the direction indicated by the Scatter
die. Once determined the exact arrival point place the stands under
the template, removing as a casualty each stand that cannot fit (they
become lost in the Warp). Dmons cannot materialise inside any unit
or in impassable terrain.
‚ Greater Dmons - All Greater Dmons (except Primarchs which are
fielded normally) can appear on the battlefield only by taking over
the body of one of their followers. Choose one of your Chaos
Champions (or Magi) as the Dmonhost: this will be the `arrival
point' of the Greater Dmon. At the start of each Order phase the
Dmonhost can either choose to resist possession or to invite it.
Roll 1d6: if resisted the Greater Dmon manifests itself on a roll of
6, if invited it manifests if the corresponding result on the Dmon
Summoning table is rolled (first turn 4+, second 3+ and so on). When
the Greater Dmon manifests, the Chaos Champion is considered killed
and has to be substituted by the Greater Dmon model (if the Chaos
Champion is inside a building or transport at this time, simply move
the model outside as it is considered to get out screaming at the
first signs of the possession). When the Greater Dmon is finally on
the table, the Chaos Player is dealt 3 Chaos Reward cards as well,
generated by its mere presence on the battlefield (see Chaos Reward
cards on the Chaos codex). If the Dmonhost model is killed before
the possession, the Greater Dmon takes control of the corpse anyway
at the start of the next Orders phase, but the Chaos player is not
dealt any Chaos Reward cards since the Greater Dmon's bounds with
the real universe are more labile. Until possessed or killed, the
Dmonhost fights with the CAF of the Greater Dmon he is hosting.

1 4+
2 3+
3 2+

Dmonic Instability
Dmonic units (not Dmon Engines) never take Morale checks, they take
special Dmonic Instability checks instead. This check works as a
normal Morale check with the difference that if failed, the dmons
are not placed on Fall-back orders, but suffer a number of casualties
equal to the difference from their number rolled and their Morale
value instead. These casualties may not be saved in any way.

It's all! Opinions? =)
