I asked a question the other week, regarding the location a (Gutbuster)
Ball template hits, and was informed it always hits the lower portion
of the titan, (Feet) this lead me to come up with two more questions.

Q. If the ball dosn't directly line up with a leg does it count as a
miss, or does the titan base = a hit?.. eg can it go straight through

NO, if it contacts the base, the titan is hit. Remember models are not
static things, the base size assumes the physical space a model
occupies, so any part of the base gets hit the model is hit. This may be
more problematic with the imperator, since most people don't base it,
but due to size, I could conceivably imagine the ball going between the
legs.

Q2. Eg: If I place a barrage template on one of the Imperators Guns,
and there is a squad of troops on the ground (100ft) below the gun

Does it work as any of the following...

1) Pick a location on the gun - roll deviation - roll for any troops
alos under the template

2) It hits the troops and roll deviation on the titans foot

3) It hits either just the Gun or the Troops

4) I cant aim at the gun, so it doesn't matter

5) None of the above

Hope this makes sense.

You technically cannot "aim at the gun" when you actually shoot the
titan, you just place the barrage marker to include the titan and as
many infantry bases as you can. In case of the infantry you roll to hit
and damage normally. In case of the titan if you hit it and its
unshielded, you SELECT a part from its damage location, so at THIS point
you may choose to "target' the gun, then roll scatter. Note that this is
a mechanic just for the titan, not the infantry, they get hit for being
under the template, irrespective of the scatter on the titan. In summary
you fire barrages at models in general and try to get as many of them
under the template, be they titans or other models, once the "hitting"
has been determined, you then select specific targets and roll for
scatter on units with a template.
