[v5.0] on squat break points and victory points

Hi,

First,

this is just to stat that any squat unit with Squat break point (that is,
75% instead of 50%) at the same time MUST be worth extra VP for the enemy
(around 33% extra). Just in case someone wants to add new units. If noone
says anything against that. I think it is not necessary to poll. BTW, I
think it's quite logic, isn't it? (you score later, you score more)

Second,

thus, according with existing units (those marked * are my proposal in
accordance to the extra 33% VP because there's no unit with Squat BP at
those costs) this is the relation BP - VP

50 - 1 *
100 - 2 *
150 - 3
200 - 3
250 - 4
300 - 4
350 - 5 *
400 - 5
450 - 6 *
500 - 7 *
550 - 7
600 - 8
650 - 9 *

I don't understand exactly which formula has been used to calculate extra VP
but here are my conclusions on VP allocating:

1000 points - 14 VP ok a 33% extra VP (could go from 31% to 40%), but then
it doesn't work with

150 (result is 1.9999 VP rounded 2)
400 (result is 5.33 VP rounded 6)
550 (result is 7.33 VP rounded 8)
800 (result is 10.66 VP rounded 11)

I've tried with other values but then there are also figures that don't
work. Did actually someone rectified anything or just taken the values from
2nd edition?


Third

Robots (like imperial or squat, or tarantulas) are only broken when they are
completely wiped out (thus 100% break point). Still they give normal points
for breaking them. Should we increase their VP? again remember that the fact
that being robots and thus having programs and whatever else should not be
taken into account in the VP but in the point cost. IMHO VP should be
determined solely by point cost and BP.

Fourth and last

Tyranids get double VP for destroying a unit, once for breaking it and again
when wiped out. This may result in an unbalance for Squat armies, since the
Tyranid can get a huge amount of victory points without killing even half of
the army. e.g a Thunderer squad is worth 4 victory points when looses 4
stands (remains one) and then 4 VP again when the last stand is lost. 8 VP
from a 300 points unit. Or in a case of a 150 points unit, it yields 4 times
its cost in VP (3+3).

Do you think that it would be a good solution for the second one to make
that the total VP from squat units destruction is the same as for others
races? thus 300 points (4+2), 150 (3+1). If not, any ideas?
