Yes and No.

there are some drawbacks, specially regard actual battlegroup, first no
more company card, no more adding slot for special and support, but take
special slot. Second is more costly, there are no discount on hull.

if you consider to have plenty of Titans so in effect there are no big
drawbacks, but consider that are costly since you must take at least three
titan non scout, and in fact are allowed only in big game with much companies.

And IMHO, actual battlegroup allow to take 3 titans, pay less for it and
give an additional special slot for another titan...
