An M-113 1/76 scale model or even 1/35 scale model could get closer to the
HUGENESS you are looking for (as the illustrations always suggest, but the
models cannot deliver.

Skirting can disguise the size of the bogie and drive wheels, if you feel
that is necessary. Detailing parts from any of the new Epic armor vehicles
can give you the 1/285 scale references on any of the big plastic kit
vehicles.
