Points cost per unit

Is there a calculation for figuring out exactly how much a unit
should cost in NetEpic, or is there a 'fudge factor' to even things
up in some cases? I'm seeing things in some army lists that just
don't add up, 100 points in one army buys a whole lot more than
100pts in another army.
