Hardware book news and a (small) rant

Yesterday I found in the mail the 1998 GW annual I got off ebay. It
was advertised as having the E:40k catalogue and, as a matter of
fact, it has a very nice chunk of the range, missing only, I believe,
a few of the latest items (some fliers, Eldar infantry sprues and the
few chaos items which were released in the chaos box).

I'll be adding the relevant entries in the next few days. Almost
every E:40K vehicle was released in the form of modular parts, thus I
need to add the single variants, in a similar way to what I did for
Great Gargants in the ork preview.

And now for a

**rant**

why nobody told me?

When I ask for help I mean it. You can't possibly expect me to know
EVERYTHING there is to know about the whole Epic range. I don't think
sending me a brief note about the way E:40K was released is asking
for too much. Also, I spotted various different marks which need to
be added. Baneblade and Shadowsword are two obvious examples: the
current release is different from the E:40K one, being composed of a
different amount of pieces (at least according to the "bits" page of
the US online store).

I'm not familiar with the two latest releases of the game. I don't
(yet) have a single E:A miniature. If the ones who do own them do not
send the relevant info my way, such omissions are going to stay.

Also, what's with the images? Up until now, all of two people have
bothered sending pictures in my mailbox. You don't really expect me
to surf the whole freaking Internet looking for the missing images,
do you?

**end rant**

Anyway, I hope to scan the pages tomorrow, so I'll be able
to add the entries by the end of the week. Finally getting pictures
for infantry would be nice [<--- unsubtle hint].
