here I write an option to keep the two names untouched.

Necron (or the Technocore Sons)

The seed that will become to TechnoCore was born in the early 10th
Millenium. It was a military experimental IA developed by Armada
goverment. The experiment failed and the IA destroyed.

Or not...

The IA hardware was destroyed but It evolved as a new lifeform in the
planck space and it multiplied and they called himself TechnCore.
With the pass of the milleniums the TechnoCore has perfected himself,
now it is working at 95.96799% of his capabilities.

It's the reason that the TechnoCore is searching about new
evolutional status, they found the answer in the C'Tan project. This
project will allow to the TechnoCore access to a new inteligence and
concience step.

So that the TechnoCore can ends the project C'Tan must obtain
enormous amounts of resources that the planck space cannot provide to
him, therefore the TechnoCore is attacking to planetary systems and
gathering the necessary resources, these resources are not material
resources, they need to collect the Psi energy of the alive spices of
assimilated planets.

As a steel tide the troops of technocore advance system after system
exhausting all the resources and leaving barren worlds without life.

Why Necron?

The first race faced by the Technocore was the Slann, The TechnoCore
attacks through the planck's portals without mercy, the surprissed
Slann army was pulverized and they retreated fast and without order
leaving great amounts of war material in the system, the technocore
was impressed by the power of the Necron troops and the basic model
of infantry was replicated. With the pass of the centuries new units
has been added to the Technocore Army as the regular troops.

Maybe it works.
