One other thing -
maybe give the IG fire support platoon guys a -1 to
hit for the sandbags?
The IG have so many units already and this will be a unit that is
basically covered by the Rapier Las Destroyer, Tarantula and IG Heavy
Weapons unit. Do the IG really need another unit like this? I
still vote no for the unit, simply because the IG already have plenty of
stuff like this. If you want to see rules for them they should be
very optional.
Also, if they were to get a -1 to hit from the Sandbags, then they would
have to have a move of 0cm. There's absolutely no way they could
move the gun AND the sandbags AND set them both up in a turn. Sure
the model looks cool with the sandbags and all, but its just decoration
on the base and should in no way reflect the stats for the unit.
What I am really
looking for also with the stats of the models ia a
reasonable point cost and how many models are in a
detachment.
I can't really give you that as I don't think the IG need the unit for
the reasons I stated above.
I like you idea of
the Marine Jet Bikes as a Ravenwing support card,
and I like your Master of the Ravenwing idea. But I am OK with
other
marines having them as well.
No way. Sorry if I sound harsh (its not my intention) but
absolutely no way. Marines are already fast enough, they do not
need skimmer bikes and should not have general access to them.
Easily available jetbikes should remain the province of the Eldar and no
one else. Space Marines should not get them except perhaps a rare
few for the Dark Angels. As zap123 has already stated, SM jetbikes
vanished with the release of Space Marine V2, which NetEpic is based
on. And if Dark Angels have them, it should be as a Special Card
ONLY, not a support card. You want their special jetbikes?
Give up a Special slot for them. I have no problem with putting
them in as an optional Special Card unit for the DA Ravenwing (ie- one
stand of the Master of the Ravenwing and 4 stands of bodyguard jetbikes)
but will fight pretty hard against anything else.
Please don't let me put you off coming up with new ideas, I just don't
like putting new units into established lists for the sake of it or
because some of us have some of the rarer models. There needs to be
a balance kept within the lists otherwise we take away some of the
tactical challenges of them by covering every angle with new units.
