The Player with the
Bad Moon Clan bought some Battle Wagons and took
nine boyz and a Nob in the BWs and took a building which was an
objective. Now I know about cohesion of the unit, but if a Nob,
which
is independent was with that group, would this tactic be legal? I
didn't think it was, but given the Nob with them, I couldn't really
argue against it.
Did he keep unit cohesion between the Nob and the rest of the Nob's
Mob? Nobs aren't independent nor is each Nobs stand independent of
each other Nobs stands in the same mob. They are a mob and must
remain in unit cohesion all the time just like other Ork units. So
if he had the Nob run off outside of unit cohesion with the other Nobs,
this tactic is completely illegal. All four of the Ork Nobs Stands
in the Bad Moonz Clan must remain within 6cm of one fellow member of
their Nobs Mob at all times (unless they sit still to First
Fire).
Remember that non-HQ Ork units can leave command range. They simply
revert to instinctive orders. I've actually used this to my
advantage numerous times. Bad Moonz sit still and fire on the
nearest enemy in the First Fire Phase and I've used this many times to
charge them onto an objective then sit on it and blast away at anything
that comes close. Works a treat. Kult of Speed without
command isn't too bad either.
