just a note on "megacrunch games"

Rolemaster is one of those games where you are not supposed to use all the rules (it does truly make it impossible to play)
So some of these systems include enough rules to do anything (Ala Hero) but leave out what you do not need.

Just 2 cents as my wife runs the best Rolemaster games I have ever played.

Now back ont the NetEpic ML topics

Does anyone see much of a tweak being needed with the release of Apocolypse (ie Epic in 40K scale)

As to simple RPGs being bad?

Those are the only kind I will play. Hero system, D&D
D20, AD&D, Rolemaster, or any other megacrunch games
are utterly despised by me. More rules slow an RPG
down and don't actually accomplish anything other than
making a game suck.

(WHFRP and Dark Heresy are middle detail systems.
Enough crunch to be meaty, but not enough to be a
chartfest.)

Of course, going TOO simple results in games like Epic
40,000, but too complicated results in Advanced Squad
Leader and Starfleet Battles.
