Discount for company cards.

Hello everyone.

I would like to know how the cost or discount for company cards are
being calculated.

In the rulebook for static artillery it is stated that "Heavy
artillery is sometimes entrenched, losing the ability to move in
exchange for increased protection, better camouflage and pre-battle
ranging shots. Instead of attempting to simulate these advantages,
simply lower the cost of the detachment by 25 points. Since Companies
already enjoy a discount they only become 50 points cheaper."
Offcourse this is about static artillery but it also says that "Since
Companies already enjoy a discount"


I have a couple of examples from a couple of different army lists.

Daemon Horde 400 pts consists of Troll & Minotaur Warband that costs
250 each. Adds up to 100 pts discount or 33%.

Squat Warrior Brotherhood. Consists of Combat squad, Berserker squad &
Thunderer Squad. For a price of 750. If you buy them separately the
cost would add up to 700. So you are actually paying more for the
company card. It's the same case with the Squat Ironbreaker Company.

Squat Termite Company consists of 3 detachment and an HQ termite with
HQ unit for a cost of 700. Each detachment cost 200 in the rules?

Any thoughts of this inconsistency?

I do ervy well understand that not all Company cards are calculated
the same way, sometimes you get a HQ for free and some are cheaper but
I feel that these differences are quite big.
