After reading Warprat's rules they seem to be pretty good... not
overwhelming for the infantry and most of them die in the attempt
regardless... However having all Greater Daemons lumped in with
infantry I have a problem with... they move like infantry but have
always been classed as either super heavy or Knight... I REALLY don't
think a +12 Bloodthirster is in the same class as ANY infantry, elite
or not.

I still think the electrohull then fighting close combat normally
works well too... but let's take it to the tape ;>
I assume normal infantry saves on 5+ and elites save on 4+

a) 10 IG Tacticals VS. a Slasha Gargant.
   3 tactical survive to combat.
                           Group CAF Titan Defence
               (4d6 + 0 = 12 average) / (12 + 2d6 = 19 average)=
0 hits

b) 6 Tactical Marines + 3 Rhinos VS. a Phantom Titan.
2 marines and 1 rhino survive.
                          Group CAF Titan Defence
               (4d6 + 2 = 11 average) / (12 + 2d6 = 19 average)=
0 hits

c) 4 Exarchs VS. a Subjugator Titan with Hell Claws (+1d6 X2).
2 Exarchs survive
                          Group CAF Titan Defence
               (3d6 + 8 = 17 average) / (5 + 3d6 = 15 average)=
1 hit
Last exarch survives.

d) 4 Terminators + 6 Tactical Marines VS. a Chaos Warhound Titan.
2 Terms and 2 Tactical Survive.
                           Group CAF Titan Defence
                (5d6 + 6 = 21 average) / (8 + 2d6 = 15 average)=
1hit
Last Terminator survives.

e) Mortarion with Growth (Chaos Reward Card, CAF X2) + 5 Chaos Marines
with Long Spines, Tentacles, and Fangs (Chaos Reward
Cards, +3CAF)
               VS. A Warlord Titan.
Mortarion and 2 marines survive all cards played on Mortarion
Mortarion not affected by titan antipersonell weapons as he is knight
class.
                           Group CAF Titan Defence
                (4d6 + 23 = 35 average) / (14 + 2d6 = 21 average)=
1 Hit. Pick location as Mortarion is Knight class.

Looks like the numbers end up being similar... but the infantry tends
to die horribly... The other question I had was Multiple hits...
Why should Infantry be able to score multiple hits on a titan when
not
even other titans armed with multiple close combat weapons can score
more than 1 hit?
Just curious...

Mike.
