Hi Nils!
Hahaha! I love pinning stands with Rhinos, too. Last game, my heroic
Commissar rushed out to pin part of a unit of Trolls. The Trolls tore
the Rhino and Commissar apart. But the IG Troopers were able to fire at
the victorious Trolls in the Advance Phase, killing half of them. I
think that move is very much in the spirit of the Warhammer universe.
I respect your House Rule, but I see nothing to support it. Frankly,
though, Games Workshop could have done a better job with the rules. But
that's why we use Net Epic.
But, on the other side of the coin, there is not much in the rules to
support my argrument either. The unit attacked still has Advance
orders. That's the important part, for me.
Many times a unit is attacked and pinned by a few units. The defending
unit needs to make a choice. If the attack is more of an annoyance, not
a threat, they go on Advance or they Snap Fire.
If the attack is half way dangerous, the defenders fire in the First
Fire phase, at the attacking units.
This seems resonable to me. These are the rules I have played with in a
couple of groups.
I suppose this is, yet again, another great topic for debate.
Peter, where are you? What's the official NetEpic response.
Warprat ;)
