Well....
A: I LOVE infantry in epic and would definately like some options when
selecting infantry units.
B: paratroopers and various commandos would have SMG's as you mention.
Likewise, troops fighting in jungles quickly acquired SMG's and shotguns.
German troops with Stg44's and similar relatively lowpowered but rapid
firing guns would belong to this catagory too, and no russian army list
without mentioning SMG troops as they armed entire companies with the Ppsh
