Hello all,

well finally played my first game of Net Epic, version 3 has it happens as I already had that printed. IG v Eldar.

A 3000 point battle with really straight forward forces because the three of us are learning the game, it has been more than a few years since we played SM.

Firstly we liked the system and the way the game played and had a good fun encounter.

Two questions did come up.

1. CC if you win a round of CC can you then be shot at in the Advanced fire round or are you classed as in CC for that turn?
No you can t shoot if you fought a CC you used up your combat action
Our thought was that you are fully engaged for that turn or the victor in CC would just get slaughtered in that turn and not be able to fight in the next. Negating the will to win CC.

2. Charge Moves do you have to be charging at a target or can you just use the extra move to get around the table quickly?
yes you can use the charge orders as a fast running type move you need not charge to CC
As I said overall we were happy with the game and just for interest the glorious IG beat the alien scum, thanks to a tactical mistake by the pointy ears!!

IMO in your discussion on CC in V4 I feel that the attacker should be able to choose how many stands he engages, he could always suffer in the First Fire phase of the next turn.

Lets face it if you are faced with a powerful CC opponent then you would try to over power him by numbers, but take the risk of his mates jumping you from behind. My two pennies worth.......
my point also ( make sure you vote that too in the poll) please
Warren(Defender of the Imperium.......this time.)
