snap fire question

I am not very clear about the snap fire rules.

if one detachment is on first fire orders ( say a marine tactical detachment of 6 squads)

and they are charged by a nobz mob of eight nobz stands

is each single nobz stand attacked by each tactical marine stand

meaning all 8 stands are attacked 6 times

or is the detachment as a whole atttacked 6 times?
