I thought I saw something saying each infantry was equivalent of a
modern day tank. Since I have the Ogre rulebook in front of me ...
here's what I find (from the Preface of the Ogre Deluxe booklet,
copyright Steve Jackson games):

"Infantry, which had for a time eclipsed the tank, declined in importance.
Although an infantryman could carry and direct a tactical
nuclear missile, he had to be extensively (and expensively) protected
to survive the nuclear battlefield. Thus, the "powered suit" was
developed. Four cm of BPC, jet-equipped, it could guard a man for
about a week (in increasing discomfort) from shrapnel, background
radiation and bio-chem agents. However, the cost of
equipping infantry reduced their value. They were still more
flexible and maneuverable than armor, and now they were almost as
fast - but they were no longer cheaper"

Right above this it states that several centimeters of BPC required
a ton of TNT to breach.

Further down:

"Some interesting compromises appeared. The 21st-century infantryman,
especially wit the later "heavy powered suit," was a tank in his
own right, at least by 20th century standards."

Reading the above, I think you're probably right. I don't see
anything about strength enhancements ... just really really tough
armor. Termie's have a +6, I'd be tempted to give them the +2 just
since they are supposedly so tough to kill.

That should've been battles, my fingers moved faster than my brain.
