In the fluff, chaos powers aren't merely morale based, but in fact magical
powers and should therefore affect all kinds of creatures. The morale test
is a way of checking whether the power functions or not...

Hmmm, according to the fluff Necrons are infact sentient robots, they
have no fear since this is removed from their program. I would wote for
keeping them without a moralscore.

This would work for me, but Im not quite sure on wether we should let
the necrons be woulnerable for chaos attack or not.
We could perhaps give them a moral value of 1. That way they dont fall
back but have a slight chance of being affected by the chaos powers.
Im sure Rune will disagree on this point :-) but what does the rest of
you say?

Hi!
Hmm.. I seem to have misinterpreted the desires of the group on this
issue. The original problem came to pass regarding if Necron's, who are
fearless (no morale value) would be affected by morale based powers. I
thought that it was desired that they would be (no I see that
interpretation was wrong) and changed the wordig to reflect that.
I have no problem with re-wording it so that unit units who are
fearless are immune to morale based powers. It seems Necron and non-Necron
players alike want this (of course it extends to fearless units of all
armies).
Now the wording will be as follows: Units without morale values
(fearless) are NEVER required to make morale checks or save versus powers
that use the units morale as a saving throw.
The wording in the chaos books will all revert back to morale checks
(there is no need for a morale save now).
The rules are much simpler this way, especially from a wording point
of view.
It seems that is what is wanted. If there is a dissenting opinion
let be known now.
Opinions?
