Hi!

I know that jpg's are shitty (sorry) for layouting. Normally i just use
tif's, but they are little bit large. *g*
And we have to send all those pics per email.... :)

I think it should be possible to use jpg's when we add no further
compression. As i said, i have to make some printouts and try it.

And thanks, i didn'T know that a PC screen has a resolution of 72dpi!

if you wanna have pics that look crisp when printed you shouldn't use
jpegs at all. as you mention they compress the picture and thus
destroys it. but the most important thing when processing pictures
for printing is to use the right resolution. use at least 150 dpi to
get any quality. the screen you are looking at right now has a
resolution of 72 dpi thus... pics that loog great on the screen looks
like crap when printed.
