Hi!
Unfortuately there are many units in epic that suffer this fate. In
the standard meeting engagement battles everyone plays, units that are
fast moving or long ranged are the order of the day. Units such as
dreadnoughts, rarely impact on the game unless the are on defense and
are attacked.
This is why having some generic scenarios so people can regularly play
something other than meeting engagements are crucial. Not all units in
epic can be quickly deployed so being able to play sige type scenarios
or other types with components of defend as well as attack are
important.
You can provide means of transport for some and thats okay, but there
are still other units that will be too slow.

battles fought. In epic, your marines always have rhinos to take them
wherever they want. In 40k they might have a rhino, but they seldom go
out of weaponrange of the dread. The dread is used to support the
infantry, a role they cant fulfill in epic.

but as they never can catch up with the infantry, the dreads will for
a large part remain a defensive unit, maybe more suited for IG than
