Dark Angels are a "non-codex" chapter in form. The major changes are to
the first two companies:
1 Company: Death Wing. this company is comprised of veterans, most in
Terminator armor. They are all initiates to the inner circle of the
chapter hierarchy.
2 Company: Ravenwing. A mobile company comprised of bikes and land
speeders. This is the rapid reaction force of the chapter.
The rest of the companies are split along more traditional lines. Only
the Death Wing have a variant color scheme (bone white with red DA
wings).
They wear white in memery of one of their home worlds that was taken over by gene-stealers, and then The stealers were killed off by one squad of terminators, a chaplian, a librarian, and a tech. who went home to recute more marines and found the world over-run. this is why they are emune to LD tests, they would die before they would dishonor their roots
