Subject: [NetEpic ML] Online Store + Competition Prize

  Hi all,

The EPICentre may be hosting an online store soon, I have been in talks with Games Workshop and we will be able to pass on a 20% discount to all our users. Any remaining revenue will go towards getting us a proper domain name and a server with more webspace (yet again we have run out) so we can provide a better service.

Peter and I have discussed methods of funding and we dismissed banner ads (next to no money and very irritating), and at least this way we can pass on savings to our users.

The online store will be non-profit, no money from it will be used for any other purpose than to provide a better service for the NetEpic community, if we have a surplus then the discount will be raising and the profits passed onto our users.

It is the people in the NetEpic community that make it what it is and our main goal is to ensure that this can be facilitated as much as possible. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. At the moment the prize for the painting competition will be a five pound voucher for the store.

The store cannot sell Epic stuff with the discount :-( but we can get any 40k (including most BFG/Mordheim models) or WFB models or boxed sets for you, we can also get Fanatic goods at the same price as Games Workshop sells them for (Including Epic) as we can add them to our order and thus have no postage fees. The only difficulty is that each order we make has to total 300 pounds, so for the beginning the store will stockpile orders and then make them in lump sums.

College is over for me now, I passed my course and can dedicate the entire summer to the EPICentre, so any last problems will be fixed and a graphical overhaul can be expected :-).

  Tom.
