What! and miss out on all the fun that =
Orks have....shame on them <g>.

Seriously though you have a good point, th=
e SM's offer a good balance of infantry and armour and can be very rewardin=
g. My Howling Griffons army is still one of my favourites. The orks however=
take a little working at but offer far more potential for a fun game (win =
or lose). It is still early days in E40K and it will be a while before all =
of the armies are available to choose from for new players. I believe the T=
yranids are next (around September) followed by the Eldar in December.

        We=
ll, the space marines (with the exception of the Space
Wolves) were fairly =
bland - you got infantry & land raider companies,
and that was pretty much =
it. No special rules or neat-o units
(aside from the aforementioned Space=
 Puppies). Compared to everyone
else, they just looked... boring. People =
would take them in their
IG armies, but very few were willing to use them b=
y themselves.

Now, you get the best all-around infantry & tanks in the
g=
ame. AND they're the only army with a fairly complete selection of
minis o=
n the shelves.
