I would like your opinion on the following unit...
Veteran Marines.....37pts
consists of two vetaran units (veteran)
mount in a rhino ....... +7pts
mount in a LandRaider ....... +35 pts
Veteran units get +1 to their firepower to indicate access to the best
weapons available.
The only problem I see with this is that with the rapid fire rules, on
overwatch they put out more firepower than a devastator squad(actually,
twice as much). This is partially why I don't like the firepower rules. Not
enough latitude. I would give the vetrens a +1 AF, maybe for similar
reasons, also in the old epic, Veterans were better in CC. Basicly, they
would be assault marines without jump-packs. It's an interesting idea
though. I can see the problems, there arn't really much special abilities
you could give them, they already have stubborn and rapid fire, which are
the only ones that really fit.
