The second one is more realistic but more cheesy.

With regards to Mr Looney's post ...
This ability should be available to Imp Guard, Orks and Squats.
It costs 10 points on top of a 'normal' command stands points and gets all
the same upgrade options. Limit them to one per detachment or it just gets
silly.
Oh yeah, they should be in the chain of command just above main force
units.
For example, marines should go ...
Captain ... Librarian ... MEDICS ... Main Force ... Support Force.
I think a suitable Marine figure would be the assassin figure painted all
white. The claw sort of looks like the ... damn, I can't remember the name
of the thing medic use to extract geneseed with.
What do people think about the techmarine stuff ???

Did you intend for the save to be called and made as soon as the
hit happens or leave it till the end of the turn/phase/whatever. Making it
'as it happens' avoids the "Oh, that stand is worth more so I'll try to
save that one instead", but this could represent the the Medic leaving a
trooper to rush and save the <insert more important person here>.
