Since there appears to be so much interest, I'm replying via mailing
list, rather than by E-mail as you requested.

AFAIK there's only been one Epic game conducted via this list, and that
was over a year ago (Myself with 20 Thunderhawks, my opponent with
Tyrannids, SM-2 of course). Some lessons learnt:

1) You gotta trust your opponent. The guy who's doing the phase in
question does all the die rolls, including saves for his opponent, etc.
Otherwise it takes too long.

2) Internal structure of a unit should be given in general terms: such
as "Gretchin at the front, Nobz 5cm behind them, Boyz 5cm behind them"
or whatever . This means that casulaties will first be taken on
Gretchin, then Nobz, then Boyz, and don't worry too much about who's
closer than whom for any particular firer.

3) ASCII art is good for maps.
