I don't know. I always liked to think that a lot of the equipment in the
RT book was pre-heresy, or not long after (give or take 1-2000 years)
As more time passed since the heresy, technology declined, so maybe thats
why imperial troops lost many of the early toys, like jetbikes, landspeeders
for the guard, all the beastmen were purged, the squats went off to get
more beer and never came back, etc
Change #2
shortly after the heresy, SM were mindwiped,IG killed if they saw chaos.
now in the "nicer imperium" that doen't happen anymore. Otherwise, how
would there be any IG cadian troops?

Agree with that. Maybe all the SM2 LR were upgraded to spartans, and GW
never told anyone about it.....

yep, same speed as earlier LR. maybe give it FP1, to represent the
termies shooting extra guns.then again, maybe not. Let the termies
shoot while being transported?

with the E40k LR, looks almost like it was developed the the spartan
conversion, ie it had more in common than the regular Mk2 LR
<snip whirlwind stuff, which looked good>

more ammo? indirect targeting gear? forgot to install seats in the back?

agree with your Mk#
Didn't the earliest Vindicators only have 6 rounds of ammo?
