Well, that's all nice and good. I do agree with all of your points, but somehow
the cons some of us previously stated got overlooked. Three books, good,
organization of information between the three books, bad. It is almost
impossible to split the three books without having some rules over looked. My
solution, redundancy. Why should GW re-print stuff in and from WD but balk at
re-printing within a single publication. It is good to have the moral rules in
the battles books with the rest of the special scenario rules, but it took me a
big honking time to find them. Why, because I thought they were rules, and
therefore to be found in the rulebook in the section entitled, Detachment
Cards. The nice section that tells you how to fill in part of the detachment
card, but not all of it. No, for the rest of it you need another book. They
don't even tell you this. A little "The rest of the information for filling out
detachment cards can be located on page. XX of the battles book" would have
done admirably. Many rule questions have come up because people didn't think to
look in another book for rules.

Unfortunatly, GW had a bad habit of cheap publishing standards. You ever read a
WD all the way through, front to back in one sitting? Ever notice that on a
great number of the books the ink on the spine had completely come off all over
your hands. How many people don't fully open a book because if they do they
know a page or two (maybe even a section) will pop right out. My WD have tonnes
of white finger prints on them, once I even barely brushed the WD and ink came
off on my hands.

Doesn't matter the care you take of your books, they will be ragged and
tattered. I still want my spiral bound, water proofed, military Epic 40K rules
books!
