OK, that still doesn't explain the difference with the Elda Avatar. My
guess is that the chaos demons are going to be done the same way too.

Really, they didn't. Some models got bigger, but it wasn't really a change
of
scale. Different scale is WH40K vs. Epic, not Old THawk vs New THawk. Sure
the new
one is bigger, but that's not going to make that much of a diffrence, maybe
the old
one was too small.
