Keep in mind that a payload of 50 or 100 tons is quite little in terms of
actual material. A tractor/trailer like one sees on the highway has a
capacity of 40 tons here in the U.S.(limited by the DOT). Most military
equipment to be transported overseas is sent by ship. Rapid deployment
forces tend to have very little heavy equipment.
