Sorry for replying without thinking, as I missed the _2_ part of 2 detachments. In fact, they'd inflict a max of 10 in this case.

That's impossible.

Assuming all the nightspinners hit, that's 4 + 1 for 4 superheavies for a total of 5.

Subject: [Epic] blast markers & morale

Ok, after a few battles it has come quite obvious that standard morale
rules
for blast markers are unsable.

For example, two detacments of 4 Nightspinners or Nurgle chaos engines
inflict
on overwatch 8 blast markers each turn the to target detachment.

So here we are, 5-6 (average) lost morale for first turn, 11 for second,
16-17
for third etc. Even if the target detachment consists of one lonely
gretchin
digging into the ground!

The solution to this is NOT 'well use artillery to destroy disruption',
'use
flyers' or 'just do not do that'. Solutions must come from balanced
system
and point costs, not with counter-measures to cheesy units/tactics
(concentrated
fire on one detachment while rest of the army just keep other units at
bay)

For solution,
a) no morale is lost to blast markers caused by the disruption
(some problems to keep track on and not streamlined with rest of the
system)
b) morale lost from blast markers reduced. I'm going to try 'max 3
morale lost
for blast markers for each detachment' in the next game - it is still a
lot,
breaking a detachments with 16 aspect warriors is worth that, and it is

 multiplicable
c) new point cost for disruption or other to-hit prodecure - not nice,
because
disrupt has its important uses beside morale. I would still use them a
lot even
if they would not cause any loss of morale in any case.

Thoughts?

PS: And the problem is not with only disrupt-weapons, but with blast
markers
and morale in overall, sometimes. We had a daemon detachment with 5
blast
markers, retreated into a cover. Each turn 5 morale was lost to it (kept

rolling 1 in the rally phase) - so overall morale loss for these 2
flamers
were more than from the rest of the army...
