        It doesn't necessarily fire d6 shots. In SM/TL, it either
shot one enemy d6 times, or saturated an area with laser fire. I was
very disappointed with the Pulsar ruling as well, but at least they're
not the only weapons to get screwed by this. Barrages and Heavy
Barrages suffer from the same problem, and the Pulsar used to be a
barrage weapon in SM/TL most of the time.

        Is that d6 firepower thing a typo? I thought all SHWs
contributed 1 FP. It would make me feel a lot better about the ruling
if it was a 1 FP Firefighting weapon.

        I thought the reason that Heavy Weapon batteries weren't
stopped by 1 FP was because they weren't SHWs. They're just a bunch
of FP. Close Combat weapons just came with 4FP along with the SHW...
