--------> Just to add my .02$: Somebody learned something along the way
as if you remember before Haiti and Bosnia, all you heard going in were
hysterical cries about bodybags, bloodbaths, etc. Seems like it's been
pretty quiet. I will say, if you're one of the few troopers killed or
injured during these ops,you might not share my view, but as someone
sitting in the back watching it, they've gone far better than most
people expected or predicted. Encouraging to think lessons can be
learned by these folks, especially when lives are on the line...

As an aside, if you want to see the differences between training and
skill on a far more noticeable level, you really need to go to WH40K.
Course, even there, 40 orks with bolters can kill terminators with lucky
shots and sheer volume of firepower. In Epic scale, the assault values
and special abilities(stubborn, etc) are really the biggest difference
showing training, etc. Firepower is mostly numbers, and armor is really
equipment, and of course the morale value is completely gone in E40k,
and it was one of the big distinguishing factors in SM/TL (Break test
for marines, no sweat. Break test for Guard, and it's a toss-up), so go
figure...
