This question comes up alot because the rulebook doesn't clearly explain
it. The general rule is infantry is several (5) per "unit" but vehicles
are one vehicle = one unit. Vehicles which are upgrades to infantry (ie
bikes/jetbikes/cavalry) are three model on one stand = one unit. Another
exception are support weapons/big guns which are listed as infantry but
are one model per unit. You basically have to look at all the pretty
pictures in the rule book and if its on one stand then it is considered
one unit.
