I agree. It is fairly easy to keep your stands far enough apart to
reduce the effectiveness of barrages and mega-cannons but that tends to
reduce your own effectiveness is shooting and esp close combat as less
units are within range. I found that one detachment of 200 pts of
artillery is usually enough to keep your opponent spread out enough yet
still not spend too many pts on units on units whose power relies on you
opponent bunching up. Of course we usually play small battles
(1500-2000) so your milage may vary.
