Settlers of CATAN (published in the US by Mayfair games) is an awesome
game. One of the best things about it is that it can be enjoyed by
wargamers and also by those who play Life or Monopoly. Seriously, I can
get my Mother and Sister to play this one. For those who don't know, the
Germans are big boardgamers and they hold massive game conventions every
year to showcase all the newest ideas. This game was Best of the Year for
1996. Highly recommended.
