Why not? Their stats are supposed to reflect their overall
effectiveness, armed with a variety of weapons, not just axes & shields.
If I recall correctly, beastmen (in 40k) can be armed with all sorts of
pistols at the very least, and maybe bombs as well.

The CC aspects already have taken this into account, correct?
