[Epic] New Rule for Discussion

In 40k, sometimes you dont kill a vehicle but immobilise it in some way.

Here's my thoughts about doing this in Epic :-

When a vehicle is involved in a fire fight or being shot at by the enemy,
sometimes you dont roll the required number to kill it.
Therefore, a vehicle which is targeted for destruction but isn't destroyed
by the dice roll, roll another D6 to see if the vehicle has been immobilised
by the firepower of the shooting detachment.

D6 Effect

1-5 No Effect
  6 Vehicle is immobilised

An immobilised vehicle cannot move but can still take part in detachment
shooting and fire fights.

Place an appropriate counter next to vehicle to show it has been
immobilised.

In subsequent shooting/fire fights, an immobilised vehicle makes an easier
target to shoot at and therefore has its armour value reduced by 1 to show
this.

Note:An immobilised vehicle only has a single -1 armour reduction. Armour
value can never fall below 1!!

Example: During a firefight, dice are rolled and allocated to a Land Raider
detachment, 3 Land Raiders are destroyed but two survived. A dice is rolled
for each LR that survived the fight and one dice rolls a 6, indicating that
one of the surviving LR's has been immobilised and cannot move anymore
during the battle.

My gaming group recently tried this little rule and it was worked great!!
Eventually people started to protect immobilised vehicles with other
vehicles.

Any suggestions/comments/modifications/flames????
