For drop pods, I was thinking of a kind of nut (hardware, not edible).
I don't know what it is called, but it is sort of a hex-sided dome, not
a flat nut, the sort of thing you put on to cover the end of the screw
so it doesn't stick out. Get a short bolt for the base, and you can use
just the bolt for the open pod.
I hope someone can figure out what I'm talking about. :)
