In the eyes of the stockholders (which is all that matters in an
international biz like GW), declining sales and profits is trouble.
Because "decline" is a very scary prospect, when the stockholders
could jump ship to something that is not in decline (say, most
technology stocks)....and if the stockholders sell, the company stock
price plummets, and then they go out with a bust...
So you see, it isn't as rosy as you think.
