In the fluff in the yellow book, the Patriarch uses Chaos for extra
power. It is the Patriarch that turns to Chaos, taking the whole of the
cult with him.

Again, this is based on the fluff BEFORE gene stealers and Trynids were
merged (Epic Hive War did that, before they were 2 races, not one).
Gene stealer cults are VERY covert.
